Our Programs
Scholars for Better Communities
Scholars for Better Communities is the scholarship program of Security Bank Foundation that benefits employees, their children, and incoming freshmen with excellent academic performance. The scholars are provided skill-building workshops such as work readiness and time management to prepare them for employment.
Build a School, Build a Nation Program
The Build A School, Build A Nation: The Classrooms Project is multi-sectoral, involving the participation of Security Bank employees, clients, local government units, academic partners, and the beneficiary community. The program’s holistic approach to education is highlighted by end-to-end initiatives – from the construction of classrooms benefitting the students and the communities to spearheading leadership development for school heads and facilitating technical training for teachers.
Ready, Set, Read
Ready, Set, Read!” is a program that trains principals, teachers, and parents to improve competencies in teaching for students in Grades 1, 3, and 5. They were also given virtual educational materials available online, offline, and on-air to aid in teaching.
Mentoring Future Leaders for Nation-Building
Security Bank Foundation, Inc. (SBFI) invests in the continuous learning and professional development of teachers and school principals of its Classrooms Beneficiary Schools, recognizing their vital role in ensuring optimum quality of education being received by students.
In 2023, SBFI enhanced its training program for teachers and school principals to a 3-year curriculum which brings trainees to transforming themselves, their schools, and their communities. At the end of 3 years, the participants will become mentors for other stakeholders within their schools and the community and generate significant change in the academic performance of their students and the overall school environment. This enhanced training program has been dubbed as the “Mentoring Future Leaders for Nation-Building”.
Both programs involve a combination of in-person and onlinesessions that incorporate case studies, exercises, and annual implementation of action plans for principals and model lesson plans for teachers.
