Security Bank Foundation, Inc. (SBFI) and Jesus V. Del Rosario Foundation, Inc. (JVR Foundation) have joined forces to construct a new two-story, ten-classroom school building at Tarlac National High School, the largest school in Tarlac province in terms of student population, with over 11,000 learners. This initiative aims to help address the school’s classroom shortage, currently at 119.
The partnership was formalized through a signing ceremony held on July 7, 2025, at the Security Bank Centre in Makati City led by SBFI Chairman Rafael F. Simpao, Jr. and JVR Foundation Executive Director Kana R. Manglapus. The JVR Foundation sponsored one classroom under this collaboration.
“Our collaboration with the Security Bank Foundation is a milestone we deeply value. This initiative marks the first philanthropic collaboration between our two organizations, though our business relationship has spanned many years. It reflects our shared belief that building schools means building futures. The classroom project in Tarlac is just the beginning. We look forward to future initiatives that continue to empower students and contribute to a brighter future for all,” JVR Foundation Chairman Jaime C. del Rosario shared.
“Your support plays a key role in ensuring that students have access to safe, conducive, and inspiring environments for education. We are blessed to have you as a valued partner in our shared mission to uplift the quality of education in the country,” expressed SBFI Chairman Rafael F. Simpao, Jr.
SBFI actively looks for partners to help the government address the overwhelming nationwide classroom shortage of over 165,000. Earlier this year, the Foundation collaborated with Security Bank’s Branch Banking Group to engage Bank clients in supporting this meaningful initiative.
