2. Why should I use InstaPay?
With InstaPay, you can conveniently send funds to accounts maintained in other InstaPay participating banks and non-banks. You should use InstaPay if you intend your recipient to immediately receive funds of up to Php50,000.
We recommend using PESONet for transfers greater than Php50,000.
3. To whom can I send funds?
To any valid checking/savings account or cash card issued by InstaPay participating banks and non-banks. Acceptable account types may vary per bank and some accounts may be restricted. Kindly refer to the Participant Rules.

4. What currencies are supported?
InstaPay supports Philippine Peso (Php) transfers.
5. Can I use InstaPay to send money overseas?
No. Instapay only allows sending money within the Philippines.
6. How much can I transact daily?
We will follow your requirement as indicated in your InstaPay Supplemental Agreement.

7. Can the current limit be increased to more than Php50,000?
The transaction limit is capped at Php50,000 as this is a Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas (BSP) mandate. Security Bank will automatically increase the limit if mandated by the BSP.
We recommend using PESONet for transfers greater than Php50,000.
8. How can I make InstaPay transactions in DigiBanker?
You may initiate InstaPay transfers in four ways:
- Manual entry in the Transfers module
- Batch upload in the Transfers module
- Shared Folder Transfer Protocol (SFTP)
- Application Program Interface (API).
To setup batch upload, SFTP, or API mode of transmission, please contact your Sales Manager.
9. Do I need to enroll InstaPay beneficiaries?
No, it is not required.
10. How soon can I know if the funds have been successfully credited to the recipient’s account?’
You will see a “Posted” status on Digibanker almost in real-time.
11. Is it possible for a transaction to be Rejected?
Yes. For example, if the funding account is insufficient or the beneficiary account is invalid, the transaction might be rejected.
12. What does each transaction status mean?
InstaPay Status | Meaning |
Posted / Processed | Successful. The amount is credited to the beneficiary account. |
Rejected | Unsuccessful. The amount is not credited to the beneficiary account. |

13. What happens if I send funds to the wrong account?
Funds transferred via InstaPay are credited almost immediately and with finality. If funds are sent to the wrong beneficiary account, retrieval is only on a best effort basis.
Please exercise care in entering the correct amount and recipient’s information. Check the information carefully before allowing the transaction to proceed.
14. How do I know if my recipient received the money I sent?
Your recipient can check the balance of his account. Some bank and e-wallets also notify their customers via SMS or email.
15. How much does InstaPay cost?
Please refer to your Supplemental Agreement.
16. How will I be billed for transaction fees?
Fee collection, if applicable, will either be in real-time or on a monthly basis, depending on your company’s arrangement with Security Bank. Please refer to your Supplemental Agreement.
