Security Bank Foundation, Inc. (SBFI), the corporate social responsibility arm of Security Bank Corporation, turned over a donation of P1 million to Philippine Red Cross (PRC) on September 23 at the Security Bank Centre in Makati City.
PRC has earmarked the amount for the purchase of an ambulance unit to be used for its emergency response and medical missions. In his message, PRC Chairman Richard Gordon cited how the donation significantly contributes to PRC’s mission to provide much needed medical support to disadvantaged and calamity-affected areas in the country.
On the same occasion, SBFI also pledged to upgrade the ambulance with state-of-the art equipment, making the total donation amount to P1.8 million. With this contribution, SBFI hopes to aid PRC in delivering quality and holistic services that will help save, protect and improve the lives of Filipinos.
