Security Bank Foundation, Inc. (SBFI) continues its college scholarship partnership with the Far Eastern University (FEU). SBFI will provide educational assistance to four (4) college students for a period of four years. The continuity of the scholarship program partnership was sealed through a Memorandum of Agreement signing held last December 17, 2019 at Security Bank’s Head Office in Makati City.
Last year, SBFI’s two college scholars in FEU who obtained their degrees in Bachelor of Science in Business Administration degrees major in Internal Auditing. For the School Year 2019-2020, Security Bank Foundation approved the scholarship of one (1) FEU freshman college scholar taking up Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology. Security Bank Foundation will maintain supporting one freshman college scholar every school year until the four college scholarship slots for FEU have been filled.
The Scholars for Better Communities Scholarship Program by Security Bank Foundation, Inc. provides educational assistance to deserving college students taking up courses directly supporting bank operations such as Accountancy, Business, Industrial Engineering, Management, Finance, Information Technology, Computer Studies, Mathematics, Statistics, Communications and Social Sciences. Aside from providing financial assistance, Security Bank Foundation also extends developmental activities to its scholars through opportunities for internship, involvement in corporate social responsibility activities, and attendance to learning sessions provided by partner institutions.

For the School Year 2019-2020, SBFI has provided educational assistance to 403 scholars nationwide, a 24% increase from the total number of beneficiaries last school year.
For the School Year 2020-2021, Security Bank Foundation will admit incoming college freshmen scholars enrolled in its eight (8) partners schools namely, Ateneo de Manila University, Chiang Kai Shek College, De La Salle University Manila, Far Eastern University Manila, Pamantasan ng Lungsod ng Maynila, Polytechnic University of the Philippines Manila, University of the Philippines Diliman and University of Santo Tomas.
