In partnership with the Laguna Lake Development Authority and the Municipal Government of Pililla, Rizal, Security Bank Foundation and SBC-HRDD organized the Security Bank 2014 Greening Outreach Activity.
Sixty-four (64) Security Bank employees participated in the second year of the tree-planting activity held last June 28, 2014 in Brgy. Quisao, Pililla, Rizal. The employee volunteers planted 1,200 seedlings of Narra, Mahogany and Alibangbang.
SBFI Chairman Rafael F. Simpao, Jr. Municipal Mayor Hon. Alejandro Masikip, Sr. and representatives from the Laguna Lake Development Authority and the local government of Pililla, Rizal participated in the tree-planting activity.
Since the launch of the pilot tree-planting activity last 2013, a total of 2,450 seedlings were planted by over 100 SBC employees from the Makati Head Office and Laguna cluster of branches.
This tree-planting activity in Pililla, Rizal is just one of the many tree-planting activities that the Foundation will organize in keeping with its commitment to help contribute to the National Greening Program of the country. The activity also shows that it is possible for a company, a foundation and a local government to work together to help protect and preserve the environment.
