A shared commitment to protect communities has grown into a shared mission to help educate them.
Security Bank Corporation’s accredited security manpower agencies turned over cash and in-kind donations to Security Bank Foundation, Inc. (SBFI) last July 10, reflecting that their partnership with the Bank extends beyond providing security, it also means investing in the future of Filipino children.
The donations will support Bayanihan Para sa Silid-Aralan, SBFI’s resource mobilization campaign that helps fund the construction of classrooms. With the country still facing a shortage of more than 144,000 classrooms, every contribution brings more students closer to a safe and conducive place to learn.
Since 2011, Security Bank Foundation, through its Build a School, Build a Nation Program has been building two-storey school buildings for public schools across the Philippines, helping address overcrowded, unsafe, and deteriorating learning spaces.
Gen. Billy Beltran, Chief Security Officer, and Col. Ferjen Torred, Special Operations Head of Security Bank Corporation’s Security and Safety Division, played a key role in bringing the Foundation and its security agency partners together.
“As a Security Banker and someone who works closely with our security agency partners, I strongly believe in Security Bank Foundation’s advocacy for education. That’s why I invited our partner agencies to join us in nation-building by supporting the Foundation’s Bayanihan Para sa Silid-Aralan fundraising campaign,” shared Gen. Beltran.
The participating agencies are Eparwa Security Services, Inc., Gallantry Security and Investigation Agency, Inc., Magno’s Security & Investigation Services, Inc., Tarsier Security Agency, BOS Security Solutions and Services, Inc., and Quiambao Security Specialists, Inc.
This year, Security Bank Foundation is constructing 60 classrooms for eight public schools nationwide. The support from the six security agencies helps augment construction costs amid rising prices, enabling the Foundation to reach more students in need.
The Foundation invites every Filipino to join the Bayanihan. Every peso brings us one step closer to building more classrooms for Filipino children. Donate at https://forms.gle/JAmfK1px6T5q6vUr.
