What began as simple acts of participation—joining a fair, shopping at a holiday marketplace, converting reward points, or learning with purpose—became something far more powerful by year’s end: lives transformed.
During Security Bank Corporation’s (SECB) year-end event in December 2025 at the Security Bank Centre in Makati City, Security Bank Foundation, Inc. (SBFI) received a significant donation made possible by the collective generosity of Security Bankers. The funds were raised through a series of employee engagement initiatives led in collaboration with the Bank’s Learning and Engagement Division—each one turning everyday actions into meaningful impact.
Among these initiatives was Learn for a Cause, which transformed employee learning hours on LinkedIn Learning into donations, with SECB’s Learning and Engagement Division contributing Php 2 for every hour completed. Another highlight was the Holiday Marketplace, where employees, their families, and partner vendors came together in the spirit of the season. Registration fees from the event went directly to SBFI’s scholarship program, Regalo Mo, Kinabukasan Ko (RMKK), which supports the educational aspirations of Security Bank’s agency personnel—such as security guards, janitors, messengers, and drivers—and their children.
Kals San Pedro, Learning Partner at SECB’s Learning & Engagement Division, shared that joining the Holiday Marketplace allowed him to support his family’s small businesses while giving back at the same time. “Knowing that the event helps students make the decision easy. Having seen RMKK scholars grow and become part of the SBC family reminds me that these initiatives go beyond business—they truly change lives,” he shared.
Beyond these activities, employees also extended their support through the Foundation’s Adopt a Scholar campaign. Contributions came not only in cash but also through Cheers Points, the Bank’s employee recognition rewards, and Security Bank Credit Card Rewards points—allowing employees to give in ways that were both personal and accessible.
Through the combined efforts of Security Bankers, 41 out of 100 RMKK scholars were adopted for School Year 2025–2026. These are more than numbers; they represent futures rewritten, families uplifted, and cycles of hardship broken—made possible by employees who chose to help.
“This is a testament to how collective generosity can change lives,” shared SBFI Chairman Rafael Simpao, Jr. “Every contribution made by our employees brings scholars closer to realizing their dreams and building better futures for their families.”
The impact of this support was deeply felt during the Christmas season, when adopted scholars personally wrote letters to their sponsors to express their gratitude. Many shared how the scholarship strengthened their determination to finish school and pursue their dreams.
Trina Ortega, Employee Engagement Lead of SECB’s Learning & Engagement Division, recalled a particularly touching moment: the mother of one scholar—a lady guard—visited their office to personally thank the team for the opportunity given to her daughter.
Through the generosity of Security Bankers and the continued collaboration between Security Bank Foundation and Security Bank Corporation, lives continue to be transformed—one scholar, one family, and one future at a time.
