Security Bank Foundation, Inc. (SBFI) continues to be recognized by the Department of Education (DepEd), through its regional and division offices, for its support of public education through programs that help improve learning environments for Filipino students.
“Education is the greatest equalizer in life,” said Security Bank Foundation Chairman Rafael Simpao, Jr., highlighting the Foundation’s continued commitment to supporting Filipino students through meaningful education initiatives.
This year, the Foundation received several recognitions from various DepEd regional and division offices during stakeholder appreciation events held across the country. The awards acknowledge the Foundation’s contributions through its education initiatives, including classroom construction and repair under its Build a School, Build a Nation Program, as well as training programs for teachers and principals under its Mentoring Future Leaders for Nation-Building Program, and vision screening and eyeglasses donations for public school students.
Among the recognitions received were the Regional Educational Partner Awards from DepEd Region III Central Luzon and DepEd Region IV-A CALABARZON.
Several DepEd divisions also honored the Foundation with Division Partner Awards, recognizing its continued support to schools in their respective communities. These were conferred by the DepEd divisions of Batangas City, Laguna Province, Zamboanga City, and Ozamiz City.
“These recognitions affirm the importance of collaboration in addressing the needs of our public schools,” said Simpao. “We remain committed to working closely with DepEd and our partners to help create better learning spaces and opportunities for Filipino students.”
The Foundation further received invitations for recognition ceremonies in the coming months, including a stakeholder appreciation event by DepEd Tarlac in March 2026 and another recognition from the DepEd Central Office in April.
Through its sustained partnership with DepEd and other stakeholders, Security Bank Foundation continues to support efforts to address the country’s classroom shortage and help ensure that more Filipino students can learn in safe and conducive learning environments.
