Security Bank Foundation, Inc. (SBFI) proudly marked another milestone as it received three awards at the prestigious Philippine Quill Awards organized by the International Association of Business Communicators (IABC) Philippines, held on August 27, 2025, at The Manila Hotel.
SBFI earned the Quill Award of Excellence for “Paint a Classroom, Paint a Brighter Future,” a volunteer initiative where Security Bank employees painted SBFI-donated classrooms and joined reflection activities that emphasized the importance of supporting education and their role in nation-building. This recognition marks the Foundation’s fourth Quill Excellence Award since 2015.
The Foundation also took home two Quill Merit Awards. Its flagship school building program, “Hand in Hand: Partnership for Transforming the Country’s Future, One Classroom at a Time,” was recognized for showcasing how SBFI collaborates with the Department of Education, local government units, employees, and training partners in constructing two-story school buildings to help address the country’s critical classroom shortage.
Another Merit Award was granted to its training program “Mentoring Future Leaders for Nation Building – Principals Training Track”, a three-year leadership development program for school principals of SBFI adopted schools, reinforcing the Foundation’s holistic approach to education advocacy.
Receiving the awards were SBFI Trustee Melissa Aquino, Infrastructure Program Officer Engr. Jamiel Galimba, and Training Program Officer Karlo Marko Valladores.
The Philippine Quill Awards is widely regarded as the country’s most prestigious recognition for excellence in business communication. Each year, it honors outstanding programs, campaigns, and creative communication tools across industries that showcase strategic planning, measurable results, and positive impact, evaluated against global IABC standards.
“With these latest achievements, Security Bank Foundation has now garnered 11 Quill trophies since 2015, comprising four Excellence Awards and seven Merit Awards, further cementing our commitment to advancing education through sustainable programs and meaningful partnerships,” shared SBFI Chairman Rafael F. Simpao, Jr.
