Security Bank Foundation, Inc. (SBFI) earned two distinctions at the 22nd Philippine Quill Awards, held on August 27, 2026, at Solaire Resort Entertainment City in Parañaque City, validating the Foundation’s strategic programs and communication to make a difference in Philippine society.
The Bayanihan Para sa Silid-Aralan received a Quill Award of Excellence, while SBF-Eyes (Security Better Future through Eyes) earned a Quill Award of Merit.
The Bayanihan Para sa Silid-Aralan program was recognized for its strategic resource mobilization approach, which brings together Security Bank clients, employees, local government units, non-government organizations, partner institutions, and other individuals and organizations to address the country’s classroom shortage through the provision of various resources to construct classrooms.
Meanwhile, SBF-Eyes (Security Better Future through Eyes) was awarded for its partnership-driven approach to addressing poor vision among public school students. In partnership with Ideal Vision Center, the program provides free vision screening and prescription eyeglasses to students in need, helping them see better and improve their academic performance.
“These recognitions reflect the power of purpose, partnership, and collective action. We share these awards with our employees, partners, and beneficiaries who continue to make a difference in the lives of children and communities across the country,” said SBFI Chairman Rafael F. Simpao, Jr.
The Philippine Quill Awards, organized annually by the International Association of Business Communicators (IABC) Philippines, is one of the country’s most respected awards programs recognizing excellence in business communication. Each entry undergoes a rigorous evaluation process guided by IABC’s global standards, ensuring that only work that demonstrates the highest levels of strategic thinking, execution, and impact earns the coveted Quill.
For SBFI, the two awards affirm the important role of communication in advancing nation-building through collective strategic investments in education. By telling compelling stories, mobilizing stakeholders, and connecting people to causes, the Foundation continues to turn communication into a catalyst for action—and action into lasting impact to build a better future for Filipino communities and learners.
