Security Bank wins

Security Bank Corporation received for the seventh consecutive year the prestigious “Cesar EA Virata Award” as the 2011 Best Securities House from the 2012 Philippine Dealing System (PDS) Group Annual Awards held at the Makati Shangri-La Manila.  The bank sustained its winning streak and leadership in treasury services by winning four other major awards from PDS as Top Fixed-Income Brokering Participant; Top Fixed-Income Cash Settlement Bank; Top 5 Spot Foreign Exchange Dealer (ranking 3rd); and Top 5 Fixed-Income Dealing Participant (ranking 3rd).  Security Bank President Alberto Villarosa said, “This distinction is a tribute not only to Security Bank, but to all the market participants that have shown major strides in fixed income securities trading and investment through PDex.  We now have a self-regulated exchange that has grown to include far more participants, larger trading volumes, and healthy market liquidity on an array of issues.”   “Security Bank is privileged to have contributed to the growth of a more mature and dynamic capital market.   With this award, we renew our commitment to serve the investing public and spur further growth of the country”s capital markets,” he added. This recent award as 2011 Best Securities House comes in the heels of an international recognition in three major categories from The Asian Banker 500, as THE BEST in Asia for maintaining the highest Return on Assets at 4.6 percent. Security Bank was also cited among the top 30 strongest banks in the Asia Pacific region and third strongest in the Philippines.
