SBC garnered several awards for the Bank; namely, Asiamoney”s Cash Management Poll (several categories), Asset Magazine”s Asian Currency Bond Benchmark Survey and the International Association of Business Communicators” CEO Excel Award, just to name a few. These awards and accolades have been a testament of the Bank”s stellar performance in the industry.

The 2007 FinTech Asia Conference, an influential gathering of practitioners from across the Asia Pacific region, highlighted once again the excellence in product innovations by SBC. The Financial Insights Innovation Award (FIIA) was awarded to SBC for the E-Collect Facility of Security Digibanker The award recognizes financial institutions that effectively use technology innovation in transforming and enhancing their business. Security Bank was chosen from over 60 banks and non-bank institutions from all over the region.

E-Collect is a secure on-line, real time Internet-based settlement system currently used by our large corporate clients to facilitate the settlement of trade payables by their nationwide dealerships through Electronic Funds Transfers (EFTs).

E-Collect underpins Security Bank”s basic strategy of leveraging customer linkages by tapping into their supply chain through technology-based “value-added” solutions. The citation of E-collect as a technological innovation speaks of the depth and superiority of Security DigiBanker”s wide variety of cash management solutions. Security DigiBanker is Security Bank Corporation”s on-line, real time corporate banking system which runs securely via the Internet. Security DigiBanker”s cash management solutions span account and transaction information delivery, check payments management and outsourcing, electronic funds transfers, payroll, electronic filing and tax payment and various collection services.

“It is truly an honor to win this award.” shares Patricia May T. Siy, Senior Vice President and Head of the Corporate Relationship Group. “We make it a point to study our customers” needs and wants and integrate these elements into every product and/or service that we develop. By doing so, we provide real value and lasting solutions to their businesses. Our drive for excellence is aligned with our clients” own pursuit of excellence.” Financial Insights, the world leader in providing strategic advice, custom research and consulting services for the financial services industry, put together this conference to recognize financial institutions that effectively use technology to improve their own business as well as their client”s business. This idea is something that is strongly advocated during the conference.
