Security Bank Corporation received back-to-back recognitions for stakeholder engagement through impactful communications and Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiatives at the 20th Philippine Quill Awards and 57th Anvil Awards.
At the 20th Philippine Quill Awards, organized by the International Association of Business Communicators (IABC) Philippines, Security Bank’s Internal Communications team earned a Merit Award for the design, development, launch, and growth of its Viva Engage internal employee communications platform. The platform stands as a testament to the Bank’s dedication to fostering a collaboration and communication among employees, and creating a dynamic, inclusive digital space for collaboration and camaraderie.
Security Bank Foundation, Inc. (SBFI), the Bank’s CSR arm, received the Excellence Award for its Regalo Mo, Kinabukasan Ko (RMKK) scholarship program. Since its inception in 2010, the RMKK scholarship program has supported over 2,600 scholars across various educational levels, exemplifying the Bank’s commitment to commitment to empowering deserving students and making a lasting positive impact on the community.
At the Public Relations Society of the Philippines’ (PRSP) 57th Anvil Awards, Security Bank won silver in the PR Communications Tool category for its 2022 Integrated Report, titled “Toward meaningful impact.” The report not only published material information about the Bank’s performance, strategy, and governance in compliance with standard regulatory standards, it sought to integrate this information to reflect the commercial, social and environmental context within which the Bank operates. For the 2022 reporting period, Security Bank was only one of two traditional Philippine banks to adopt an Integrated Reporting framework for the publication—demonstrating its commitment to delivering meaningful stakeholder engagement.
“We’re humbled to be recognized for our efforts in engaging our internal and external stakeholders. We seek to communicate with intent and create value for our employees, customers, investors, and communities,” said Tanya Deakin, FVP and Corporate Communications & Brand Division Head at Security Bank.
