Security Bank Corporation (PSE:SECB) was named Best Corporate Bank in the Philippines at the prestigious Asiamoney Best Bank Awards. Executive Vice President and Wholesale Banking Segment Head, John Cary Ong, and Senior Vice President and Corporate Banking Head, Yvonne Marcelo, received the honor on behalf of Security Bank at the gala dinner held at Marina Bay Sands in Singapore on September 26, 2023. 

“Over the last year, Security Bank has stepped up its efforts to increase its market share, innovate, and deepen its commitment to social and environmental responsibility. The Wholesale Banking division generated 28% of total bank net income in 2022. The gains were across the board and indicative of a corporate banking team recalibrating the business toward greater growth,” noted Asiamoney in its assessment of Security Bank’s Corporate Banking Group (CorBank). 

Further, Asiamoney recognized Security Bank as one of the country’s best capitalized private domestic universal banks, despite extreme volatility in 2022. The Bank’s broad scope and consistency in gains were highlighted as impressive achievements, as well as strengthened focus on key industry segments including healthcare and fast-moving consumer goods.
