Security Bank Corporation (PSE:SECB) is proud to announce its achievement of the prestigious 4 Golden Arrow Recognition for excellence in corporate governance by the Institute of Corporate Directors (ICD) at the Golden Arrow Recognition Ceremony held on September 28, 2023 at Okada Manila, Parañaque City.
This year, 109 publicly listed companies received the Golden Arrow awards based on the 2022 ASEAN Corporate Governance Scorecard (ACGS) and Corporate Governance Scorecard (CGS) Assessment. Security Bank’s performance in 2022 earned an ACGS score between 110 to 199 points, earning the Bank a 4-arrow recognition—highlighting its dedication to maintaining the highest standards of corporate governance and adhering to ethical business practices.
“We are immensely honored to receive the 4 Golden Arrow Recognition. This award demonstrates our commitment to fostering a culture of transparency, accountability, and integrity for our stakeholders and the broader community. At Security Bank, we consider this citation as a renewal of our commitment to live by the ethical governance practices, which have been a cornerstone of our operations,” said Cirilo P. Noel, Security Bank Interim Chairman.
The ACGS and CGS Assessment serves as a benchmark for evaluating the corporate governance practices of publicly listed companies across six participating ASEAN countries: Indonesia, Malaysia, the Philippines, Singapore, Thailand, and Vietnam. It aims to raise the corporate governance standards and practices of the country in terms of transparency and accountability, ultimately fostering investor confidence and economic growth.
Security Bank remains committed to upholding these high standards and will continue to prioritize corporate governance practices that benefit its shareholders, clients, and employees as it strengthens its journey to become the most customer-centric bank in the Philippines.
