In support of the National Breast Cancer Awareness month of October, Security Bank has partnered with ICanServe Foundation, Inc. to make it easy for cardholders to reach out to women with breast cancer. By simply spending their rewards points online, Security Bank MasterCard and Diners Club cardholders can give donations, making their rewards points count!
ICanServe Foundation was founded in 1999 by four breast cancer survivors led by journalist Kara Magsanoc-Alikpala. Co-founding ICanServe were Crisann Celdran, Becky Fuentes and Bet Lazatin. The foundation advocates early breast cancer detection through high-impact information campaigns and community-based screening programs.
Security Bank is one of the major sponsors of #FashionCanServe, a fashion show organized by ICanServe Foundation. The fund-raiser will feature breast cancer survivors and celebrity advocates of ICanServe who will model the holiday collections of six of the country’s top fashion designers: Lulu Tan Gan, Kristel Yulo, Maureen Disini-Teichert, Eric delos Santos, Rhett Eala and Rajo Laurel on October 6 at the Raffles Hotel Ballroom in Makati City.
For the whole month of October, the Security Bank website and Facebook page will sport a pink theme to help increase breast cancer awareness. Cardholders can also expect to receive their monthly billing statement in a similar brightly-colored envelope bearing the ICanServe logo.
