The Charter Financial Analyst (CFA) Society Philippines awarded Security Bank Corporation (PSE: SECB) with two trophies at the 9th Annual Best Managed Fund of the Year Awards on April 24, 2024, at The City Club, Makati City. CFA named the SB Peso Bond Fund the best Peso Long-Term Bond, while the SB Philippine Equity Index Fund topped the Peso Equity Index Category—both delivering the best performance metrics relative to their peers.
The Best Managed Fund of the Year Awards celebrate excellent results that provide remarkable benefits and profits to investors. For the 9th edition, 136 qualified funds from 17 investment houses and trust institutions were evaluated. The CFAP Fund of the Year Committee analyzed each entry’s investment data and fact sheet and selected the winners.
The SB Peso Bond Fund emerged as the best Peso Long Term Fund, acclaimed for its exceptional returns with lower risk. This fund strategically invests in a diverse mix of Philippine Peso bonds, including government securities, corporate bonds, time deposits, and other investments with varying maturity periods. Its unwavering focus on long-term growth and strategic investment decisions set it apart in the industry.
The SB Philippine Equity Index Fund received recognition as the best Peso Equity Index Fund. This fund primarily invests in select stocks in the Philippine Stock Exchange Index (PSEi), aiming for long-term growth.
