Security Bank responds to effects of COVID-19 pandemic

As the world braces itself for the severity of the COVID-19 pandemic, we at Security Bank have been closely monitoring the situation. We have been examining latest developments and listening through customer feedback to come up with more effective measures to better serve you, as your lifetime partner.

It is crucial for us to keep in touch with our clients, especially during the enhanced community quarantine, because we know how important banking services are. The implementation of ECQ in Metro Manila meant an impaired public transportation system for our clients and employees, but we want to assure you that we are here for you.

We have activated enhanced measures to ensure that most branches will be open to serve you. Bank cars have been deployed to ferry employees from selected points to their branches of service.

We also acknowledge that the availability of cash is crucial at this period since we need money for our basic necessities which is why we have waived all ATM transaction fees until further notice. This means that any Security Bank account holder may withdraw at any ATM without fees or charges. We closely monitor our 846 ATMs.

In order to ease the plight of borrowers and maintain a good financial standing during this time of public health crisis, we have extended due dates for all loan and credit card products without any interest or penalty. This will allow our clients to preserve their good credit profile without burdening them to settle due payments immediately.

As a bank that advocates education, we recently partnered with 88Tuition, a Singapore-based learning company, to provide parents and guardians free access to quality video-based education materials for kids. Free access to learning courses is available for primary and secondary students until June 30, 2020. This is our way of helping parents across the country manage their work and other responsibilities while ensuring that their kids are safe, productive and actively engaged at home.

As we do our part to ensure the wellbeing of our clients, employees, vendors and other stakeholders, we hope that you do the same by practicing social distancing.
