Security Bank Corporation took home several awards during the 15th Philippine Quill Awards held at the Marriott Grand Ballroom in Newport City, Pasay. Three entries of the Bank were recognized at the awards night namely: Economic Forum from the Communication Management division; Bankers’ Bond, Security Bank’s quarterly corporate magazine, from the Communication Skills division; and “Build A School, Build A Nation: The Classrooms Project,” also from the Communication Management division.
The 2016 Economic Forum organized by Security Bank won an Award of Merit under the Financial Communication Category. The annual forum, one of the most notable private economic gatherings in the Philippines that bring high-level information and world-class speakers, marked its first ever entry in the Quill awards with recognition.
Bankers’ Bond received an Award of Merit under the Publications category. The magazine contains corporate news and human interest stories that convey Security Bank’s core values. The “Build A School, Build A Nation: The Classrooms Project” of Security Bank Foundation was also given an Award of Merit under the Corporate Social Responsibility category for its commitment in improving the lives of students in public schools nationwide by investing in better educational facilities and training programs. Security Bank has been an awardee in the two categories for two consecutive years.
EVP & Corporate Services Group Head Belen Lim and SVP & Legal and Regulatory Affairs Group Head Melissa Aquino received the awards on behalf of Security Bank. The Philippine Quill Awards is the most prestigious annual gathering of companies organized by the International Association of Business Communicators – Philippines where top-performing companies are given recognition in different categories.
