Euromoney’s “Philippines’ Best Bank” for 2016 celebrates a Chinese tradition of abundance and good fortune with its valued clients nationwide.
The Moon Festival, also known as the Mid-Autumn Festival, is one of the most important traditional Chinese festivals that dates back to more than a thousand years. Today, the Moon Festival still holds great value as it represents togetherness, prosperity and good fortune not only for the family, but also for those in the business community.
Security Bank holds annual Moon Festival customer appreciation events not only to show the Bank’s gratitude, but also as a way to keep the traditions of unity and prosperity alive. For this year, a series of Moon Festival dinner and dice games were hosted by several branches nationwide for their valued clients and partners. Hundreds of guests participated in the traditional dice games and won loads of prizes.
Security Bank President and CEO Alfonso ‘Yogi’ Salcedo, Jr. emphasized the importance of gatherings in improving Security Bank’s relationships with various stakeholders who greatly contribute in sustaining the Bank’s remarkable performance. “The Mid-Autumn Festival represents the reunion of families. As such, it is only fitting for our Bank to strengthen our bond with clients and partners who we consider as part of the Security Bank family.”
Salcedo added, “In the same way that the Moon Festival celebrates prosperous harvest, we would like to celebrate our recent successes with our customers.”
Security Bank recently earned accolades from various global and local awards organizations. Its BetterBanking campaign was recognized as Best Brand Initiative at The Asian Banker Philippine Country Awards 2016. In Alpha Southeast Asia Magazine’s 6th Annual Southeast Asia’s Institutional Investor Awards for Corporates 2016 and 10th Annual Best Financial Institutions in Southeast Asia, the Bank was cited as “Most Organised Investor Relations”. Earlier, the Bank was named Philippines’ Best Bank at the Euromoney Awards for Excellence 2016.
Security Bank continues to expand its branch network in strategic areas across the country to reach more customers. The Bank has a total of 280 branches and 597 ATMs as of end-October. More branches will be opened this year, as the Bank is committed to deliver the BetterBanking experience.
