Security Bank wins a Special Citation Award from the KAPATID Awards, demonstrating its BetterBanking commitment to its most valuable asset – its people.

The Employers Confederation of the Philippines (ECOP) awarded Security Bank with the Special Citation Award on Industrial Peace and Harmony during the Kapatiran sa Industriya (KAPATID) awarding ceremony at the 38th National Conference of Employers on May 17, 2017 at the Grand Ballroom, Manila Marriott Hotel, Pasay City.

The KAPATID Awards attributed Security Bank’s special citation on its success to nurture a proactive and harmonious labor group-management relationship, the unique partnership that empowers employees to make decisions on their own which enable them to grow in their chosen careers and track a better life for their families, and an open communication line within the organization.

Good work-life balance and equal opportunities

The environment in Security Bank speaks of all-around well-being of its people. In addition to the competitive compensation package, the Bank runs a vibrant year-round employee engagement program that ensures that the overall work-life balance of its people is well cared for.

The Bank is a nurturing employer, organizing events that provide opportunities for employees to celebrate, train, pray, volunteer, and be fit and health. The Bank cultivates the passion for the performing arts by hosting annual contests for employees nationwide. Through the Security Bank Foundation, Inc., employees with a strong sense of volunteerism can share their time and resources to help those in need. Some of these programs extend to the employees’ family members and friends.

Over the past years, Security Bank has gained recognition for its products and services from local and international award-giving bodies. This time, it takes pride for being cited for Industrial Peace and Harmony, an award that perfectly captures the Bank’s fundamental philosophy of taking good care of its people.

“We are very honored to be given this award. This validates the hard work and dedication of the Security Bank Family. We have shown to the community of employers that we are able to grow and sustain a highly motivated and productive workforce that has manifested itself in a strong, dynamic, and fast-growing banking franchise in the country that is Security Bank”, said President and CEO Alfonso L. Salcedo, Jr.

Among the ten finalist companies (domestic and multinational companies representing key business sectors in the Philippines) that made it to the second and final round of judging, Security Bank won and was singled out for its success in nurturing Industrial Peace and Harmony.
