Security Bank Corporation (PSE:SECB) has been recognized by Corporate Governance Asia for the fourth consecutive year, winning five awards at the 14th Asian Excellence Awards. The Bank received: Best Investor Relations Company (Philippines); Sustainable Asia Award; Asia’s Best CEO (Investor Relations); Asia’s Best CFO (Investor Relations); and Best Investor Relations Professional (Philippines).
Themed “Sustainable Asia: Ardor for Green Governance,” the 14th Asian Excellence Awards honored corporates and individuals who have been trailblazers in corporate governance, investor relations, and notably sustainability—showcasing a collective commitment to advancing green governance. These accolades are for people who possess strong leadership in guiding their companies in growing the business and at the same time uphold the highest ethics in business practices. The ceremony was held at the JW Marriot Hotel in Hong Kong on May 31, 2024, and was attended by 245 senior executives from eight countries—its largest event in the past 14 years.

For the fourth year in a row, Security Bank won the award for Best Investor Relations Company (Philippines). The award was given for maintaining the highest standards of disclosure, transparency, and fairness in disseminating information.
Security Bank also received the Sustainable Asia Award for demonstrating exceptional commitment and performance in integrating sustainability into its operations. The methodology was designed to assess corporates based on their alignment with key sustainability frameworks and places significant emphasis on transparency, accountability, and effectiveness of their sustainability initiatives.
Furthermore, members of the Security Bank team took home individual honors: President and CEO Sanjiv Vohra was named Asia’s Best CEO (Investor Relations) for driving the overall management and growth of the Bank; Eduardo M. Olbes, EVP and Chief Financial Officer was named Asia’s Best CFO (Investor Relations); and Ropi Dangazo was named Best Investor Relations Professional (Philippines) in leading Security Bank’s Investor Relations team. This is also the fourth consecutive year that Vohra, Olbes, and Dangazo have received these awards.
