Amidst pandemic challenges, Security Bank Foundation, Inc. (SBFI) successfully turned over a two-story, 10-classroom building at the Solano East Central School in Nueva Vizcaya Province, thanks to local partnerships. 

The project was envisioned in 2019 and was the first time where a town mayor joined the actual inspection for the selection of SBFI school building site. This was conducted through former Solano Mayor and now Provincial Board Member Eufemia Dacayo.  

The building construction started in 2020. It was supposed to be completed on the same year but was delayed due to pandemic-related work stoppages and logistics challenges. It was finally in 2022 that the building was turned over with the municipality now represented by Solano Mayor Philip Dacayo.  

“Security Bank branches have good public relations with the government thanks to SBFI’s donations to branch communities. Security Bank was able to build public trust through SBFI social investments,” said Ferdinand Uy, Security Bank Branch Banking Group Area Head for North Luzon. 

The SBFI collaborates with LGUs in putting up the much-needed classrooms in Philippine public schools. In partnership with 67 cities and municipalities, SBFI has already turned over 645 classrooms in 116 schools.
