Leading the turnover were SBC Tacloban-Rizal branch Business Manager Bonifacio Tordillo and SAVP & Area Head for Eastern/Western Visayas Proceso Berino along with Congressman Ben Evardone (District Representative Eastern Samar) and Provincial Manager of NFA Borongan Martina Lodero

As a response to the devastation brought about by Typhoon Urduja, Security Bank turned over 250 bags of rice to the LGU of Eastern Samar on 22 December 2017. The said resources will be distributed to the residents of Eastern Samar through a relief operation that will be led by the LGU together with Security Bankers from Eastern Samar. Through the project, Security Bank hopes to provide relief assistance to the families badly affected by Typhoon Urduja.
