Security Bank Foundation, Inc. (SBFI), the Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) arm of Security Bank, was honored as one of the Philippine Red Cross’ (PRC) Most Outstanding Humanitarian Awardees for its contributions to the public health response against the COVID-19 pandemic.
The award was received by Security Bank President and CEO, Sanjiv Vohra, and SBFI Trustee and Corporate Secretary, Melissa Aquino, at the ceremony held at Makati Shangri-La.
SBFI’s partnership with PRC started in 2015 with the provision of five ambulances for local chapters to participate in emergency response. During the pandemic, with the guidance of PRC, SBFI donated three negative pressure ambulances, and established a molecular laboratory for COVID-19 testing in Mandaue, Cebu. Security Bank also provided Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) to PRC frontliners.
Beyond COVID-19, PRC commits for the continued use of the ambulances for emergency response and molecular laboratory for detection of other diseases.
