As an industry leader, the Bank, through Security Bank Foundation, Inc. (SBFI) fulfils its corporate social responsibility by supporting educational programs that provide sustainable means to uplift the socio-economic conditions of its beneficiaries. In line with this, SBFI conferred a cash donation of P1.5 Million to the University of the Philippines (UP) equivalent to sponsoring a lifetime centennial professorial chair. Professorial chairs provide additional income to qualified professors of the University for one (1) year.
First Vice President and SBFI Board of Trustees Member, Melissa R. Aquino, presented the donation to UP President, Dr. Emerlinda R. Roman and UP Centennial Commission Chairperson, Senator Edgardo J. Angara, along with the regional chancellors of the University during the recent dinner ceremonies in honor of the UP Centennial Donors.
