Security Bank joined forces with the Asian Institute of Management (AIM) on the Bank Leadership Advancement and Skills Training (BLAST) program for members of the executive and senior management teams. The BLAST program, ran by AIM’s School of Executive Education and Lifelong Learning (SEELL) and SBC Academy, the Bank’s internal development arm, saw twenty-six senior leaders complete the course.
The rigorous program, spanning from October 2023 to February 2024, aimed to enhance the competencies and capabilities of the Bank’s leaders. The program’s graduates celebrated their achievement at the Aboitiz Tech Space at AIM’s Main Campus in Makati City, confirming their membership in the Institute’s expanding network of leaders.
Nerissa Berba, EVP and Chief People Officer of Security Bank was proud of the program’s success. “As a leading financial institution, our investment in developing exceptional leaders represents an investment in our future. Our partnership with AIM demonstrates our commitment to empowering our people with the skills and knowledge needed to thrive in the industry and to deliver on our BetterBanking promise to customers.”
The Bank champions employees’ professional growth through its talent pipeline development strategy, and the BLAST program is a good example of that. Last year, the Bank approved a Talent Value Proposition for high potential talents, which shows what a “talent” of the Bank can look forward to in terms of career/professional development. This will be launched this year.
