Security Bank Corporation and long-time partner Zonta Club of Makati & Environs are now accepting nominations for the 8 Bravo Empowered Women Awards 2021.
Now on its 4th year, the 8 Bravo Empowered Women Awards program recognizes outstanding Filipino women whose unwavering commitment to their advocacies have led to social and economic progress and have empowered women towards nation-building.
An awardee will be chosen for each of the eight categories: Arts, Culture & Heritage; Business; Culinary Arts; Education; Media & Public Affairs; Science & Technology; Social Services; and Sports. Nominees must possess the following qualifications:
1. Filipino citizen, of good moral character
2. With outstanding track record in her profession
3. Involved in an advocacy for the last three years
4. Sustained a project for the improvement of society
5. Must not have received recognition from any national or international award-giving body
6. Must not be a member of Zonta or a Security Bank Employee
Aside from the recognition, this year’s winners will also receive Php 50,000 each, which they may use for their chosen advocacies. They will also join the distinguished roster of Bravo women.
Security Bank who has been a long-time advocate of women empowerment was recently cited by esteemed financial magazine AsiaMoney for being ranked highest among Asian banks and Philippine banks in terms of the number of women in senior management positions, with 58% of women employees holding senior positions. Meanwhile, Security Bank ranked second in the country and fifth in Asia, with 68% of the total workforce being women.
