Despite the curtailed movement and instantaneous shift to digital platforms due to the pandemic, Security Bank remains committed to opening new branches through the completion of its 2020 branch banking expansion plan. The bank opened, relocated, and revamped a total of 10 bank branches to meet continued market demand.
“Despite the transition to digital banking, we still recognize the importance of branches in making our services accessible to different areas. Through our continued push to increase our branch banking presence, we are optimistic that we will be able to serve more Filipinos and show what BetterBanking means,” said Leslie Y. Cham, EVP, Branch Banking Group.
Security Bank opened four new branches in Ayala Mall Circuit Makati, A. Roces Ave in Quezon City, Ayala Malls Manila Bay, and Katipunan Blue Ridge while 6 were either renovated or relocated to increase the accessibility for clients.
Apart from the expansion, Security Bank renovated some of its branches to streamline and modernize its design and facilities. Renovated bank branches now have a dedicated area for ATMs, an area for self-service transactions such as balance inquiry or PIN change and a redesigned bank teller area for other banking transactions. All branches will also have 24/7 ATM service.
Security Bank’s branches with a compact set-up called “Branch Lites” were also equipped with a Skype Nook, which is a dedicated area wherein clients can have Skype calls with Security Bank’s Investment experts.
“The modernization of our branches, by equipping them with iPads and other devices, is our move to encourage customers to take advantage of Security Bank’s online and digital platforms. We want each client to experience efficiency, comfort and heightened safety while they’re banking with us,” adds Cham.
Security Bank is looking to open at least 7 new branch locations nationwide for 2021. As of January 7, 2021, Security Bank has a total of 313 bank branches and 787 ATMs nationwide.
