In North Luzon, the Baguio BGH Rotonda is now operational while in the Visayas-Mindanao region, the Victorias Branch in Negros Occidental has opened its doors. This was followed by the Bangoy-Chinatown Branch in Davao City, which promises to be a major business hub for Mindanao.
The Calamba Light Industry and Science Park (LISP) Branch in Laguna was opened as the first among a number of branches which will be located in economic zones. More branches are set to open in other industrial parks and techno hubs in the areas of Laguna, Batangas, Cavite, Clark, Mactan- Cebu, Bacolod, Iloilo, and Davao. These branches aim to serve the needs of ecozone locators and their employees. Many of these locators are Japanese manufacturing companies which Security Bank would want to serve better. The recent partnership with one of the world’s biggest banks – The Bank of Tokyo-Mitsubishi, UFJ, Ltd. (BTMU), enables Security Bank to penetrate the fast growing Japanese business community in the country.
President and Chief Executive Officer Alfonso ‘Yogi’ Salcedo, Jr. stated, “We are truly excited about our partnership with BTMU. BTMU’s P37 billion fresh capital infusion has elevated Security Bank into one of the strongest local banks with the unique advantage of having BTMU’s global network. This will allow us to offer our customers new products and services accessed from BTMU’s worldwide operations. This raises the bar of our BetterBanking promise.”
