From October 21-22, 2023, the annual fundraiser FilipinaZ returns with an international range of distinctive and well-curated art, fashion, fine jewelry, and home goods for a cause. Now in its 10th year, FilipinaZ is organized by the Zonta Club of Makati and Environs (ZCME) in partnership with platinum sponsor Security Bank.
With the theme Living Art this year, FilipinaZ focuses on wearable art and a borderless approach with pieces created by nearly 100 established and emerging artisans from around the world. “FilipinaZ has always been inclined towards the arts. Many of our members are avid art collectors and patrons. We also have several artists from different fields who are part of the organization,” said Maritess Pineda, FilipinaZ Chairperson.
Living Art encompasses the fundraiser’s unique take on celebrating creativity. “This year, especially, we are putting the focus on art. It permeates everything, everywhere. It is manifested through various aspects of life including fashion, design, food, and jewelry,” said Zonta member Melissa Romualdez.
Security Bank, a longtime supporter of ZCME, regularly champions advocacies like FilipinaZ that share its mission to enrich lives, empower businesses, and build communities sustainably. “We are proud to partner again with FilipinaZ to support charitable initiatives through sustainable commerce and community-building,” said Tanya Deakin, FVP and Corporate Communications and Brand Division Head at Security Bank.
To celebrate the milestone year, ZCME will also recognize its FilipinaZ Luminaries—five women who have made significant contributions to the arts, education, design, and fashion. Portraits of the awardees will be digitized by street muralist, Venazir Martinez, and displayed for guests to enjoy. The five FilipinaZ Luminaries include: Anita Magsaysay-Ho, for visual arts; Josie Natori, for fashion; Milagros Salgado Dayrit, for jewelry; Sara Soliven de Guzman, for education; and Vicky Vizcarra, for craft.
Security Bank credit cardholders will enjoy free entry to the fair when they present their Security Bank Mastercard credit card and are entitled to 0% installment for three to 12 months for a minimum spend of PHP10,000. Non-Security Bank cardholders are welcome to join the fair for a minimal entrance fee of PHP100 per person.
FilipinaZ: Living Art will be open from 10:00am to 10:00pm on October 21 and 10:00 am to 9:00 pm on October 22 at The Fifth at Rockwell, Power Plant Mall, Rockwell Center, Makati City.
