Security Bank widens its reach to become one of the country’s top private domestic universal banks.
Security Bank Corporation continues to aggressively expand its branch network to strengthen its retail banking business and reach out to new customers.
“We are currently at 280 and by the end of 2016, we intend to bring our total to 292 branches,” said Security Bank President and CEO Alfonso Salcedo, Jr. “Finding good locations and hiring good quality branch personnel are crucial in our expansion program up through the year 2020. About 70 percent of new branches will be located in the provinces while 30 percent will be situated in Manila. By increasing our presence in the provinces, Security Bank aims to support the government’s thrust to spur growth in the countryside.”
Security Bank EVP and Branch Banking Group Head Leslie Cham added, “We aim to bring our products and services to more customers so they can experience our BetterBanking brand of service. We would be able to do this as we speed up branch expansion.”
Over the past four months, the Bank opened a total of 10 new branches in strategic locations in the country. It opened three branches within Metro Manila namely: McKinley Morgan Suites, Silver City and San Juan-F. Blumentritt. It also opened branches in key cities in Northern Luzon and the Visayas – Tuguegarao-Buntun Highway, Dagupan-Lucao and Tacloban-Veteranos – to capture further growth in these areas.
In August, the Bank opened the Taytay-Manila East branch, its third branch in Taytay, which caters to the retail and commercial establishments along the major thoroughfare going to Angono and other Rizal municipalities and towns.
Apart from extending its presence in key provincial locations, Security Bank continues its initiative to provide banking solutions to meet the financial needs of various ecozone locators and their employees inside industrial ecozones. Key executives of Security Bank and its partners from The Bank of Tokyo-Mitsubishi, UFJ, Ltd. (BTMU) graced the recent opening of three new branches in Laguna and Cavite to show their full support to the Japanese business clients situated in these industrial hubs.
In July, Security Bank Carmelray 2 branch started serving customers in the Carmelray Industrial Park II in Calamba, Laguna.
