Product- Service Development
The ability to develop a feasible product or service takes your dream closer to reality. Now that you have the building blocks of what it takes to jumpstart your business, it’s time to execute. When developing, stay on track. Recall your Value Proposition Canvas and 4Ps of Marketing to ensure your business remains positioned around your customers’ needs and aligned to your marketing strategy.
Learn Fast
Don’t get too fixated on your plans. You’ll never know what’s right or wrong with it until you execute — so jump and just do it. Remember, it doesn’t have to be perfect the first time. What’s important is your ability to react and learn fast —this is the Agile Mindset.
Agile has its roots from IT software development that helps teams deliver value to their customers faster and with fewer headaches. Instead of taking longer to perfect a launch, an agile team delivers work in small but relevant and consumable increments. Requirements, plans and results are evaluated continuously so teams develop a natural mechanism to respond to changes quickly.
Adopt the Agile Mindset when developing and iterating your product-service offer.
Start with something small, and workable from your Value Proposition Canvas or 4Ps of Marketing. Develop, test, deploy, and review. If something doesn’t work out, just remember: Fail Fast and reapply your learnings in the next cycle. The goal here is to learn from your customers and have the ability to adjust fast.
