The Role
As a Strategy Analytics Associate, you will be responsible for understanding the drivers of the business strategy. You will help provide insights into driving the strategy and performing data-driven improvements. Your role will work closely with the business units to provide diagnostics and actionable insights. To be successful in this role, you must be able to translate the business problems into analytics problems and provide analytics solutions to arrive at desired business outcomes. You will excel in this role through communicating and articulating analytics recommendations that are easily consumed by the business.
How you’ll contribute
- Develops, designs, and continuously refines the CMO financial metrics to track (NPS, Customer Growth, PPR growth, revenue per customer, attrition, frontline productivity,..), including metrics that are linked to strategic themes for SBU. (CMO = current mode of operations)
- Explores, develops, designs, and continuously refines new FMO metrics better aligned to the customer-centric goal of the bank including the measurement of new product bundles/ initiatives as well as cross-sell (FMO = future mode of operations).
- Ability to quickly understand the business context from multiple lenses – macroeconomic (high-level/ BIG picture) to microeconomic (low-level/ details) – at different levels of the organization: segment, groups, divisions/ products.
- Ability to link business problems into analytical problems to provide actionable insights that the business can act on.
- Problem Solver: Participates in and/or leads ad-hoc studies to provide expertise/ direction as the business sees fit.
- Able to bridge business context and understanding with technical/ technology-enabled solutions and approaches for enablement – such as (but are not limited to) analytics models, tools, dashboards, reporting, and visualization.
- Sense of Urgency and Agility: Can work and operate on MVPs or simplified tools if there is business urgency (i.e. leveraging quick and simplified “report” forms such as PowerPoint/ Excel PIVOTs)
- Data Analytics: Comfortable working with data to perform descriptive and diagnostic studies (future: predictive/prescriptive analytics) to provide insights and recommendations.
- Data Visualization: Creates business-aligned reports/studies that enable ACTIONABLE INSIGHTS which are further translated to proven STRATEGIC RESULTS.
- Design, implement and promote structures and frameworks that support data-driven decision-making.
- Works with different executives, leaders, and stakeholders across business units to synchronize segmentation strategy and do performance management checks.
What we’re looking for
- Graduate of Bachelor’s Degree in the field of Statistics, Management Economics, Business Administration Industrial Engineering / Management Engineering, and Finance/ Accountancy/ Economics
- With at least 5 years of relevant experience
- Knowledge and proven experience in using multiple data warehouses/data marts, and creating analysis models from those data sources, including statistical, EDA, ML models; leading to the creation of CLEAR and INSIGHTFUL DATA ANALYSIS which are then translated to ACTIONABLE INSIGHTS via reporting/presentation/solutions/visualization; which are further translated to proven STRATEGIC RESULTS.
- Learns and quickly adapts technology skillset for Data Science and Business Analytics as business needs and priorities change.
- Expertise in using statistical/EDA tools such as SAS, R, Python, Excel (Required)
- Expertise and experience with data visualization tools with a focus on Microsoft Power BI but can operate on MVP (Power BI) reporting if necessary. Able to quickly learn and update technology skillset as business needs change.
- Excellent data storytelling and presentation skills – both verbal and written.
- People-sensitive communicator with the ability to adjust to varied audiences. Able to maintain relationships with various teams and business units.
- Self-starter and flexible. Able to work on multiple projects at a time and can quickly adjust prioritization based on business context.
