The Role
As a Processor Staff, you will be responsible for processing PHP AND USD Trust Receipt (TR) transactions, booking, payments, extensions, and repricing , to record and collect client receivables properly. Also responsible for the processing of TR rediscounting applications with the BSP.
How you’ll contribute
- Attend and reply to internal and external clients’ queries/inquiries/complaints/requests via email, telephone, or over the counter-to manage customer expectations and provide good customer service.
- Process PHP and USD Trust Receipts booking, payment, extension, and repricing by obtaining the required documents: 1) signed Trust Receipt agreement and bill of exchange duly signature verified 2) approved availing sheet for booking or extension 3) duly endorsed fire insurance policy with sufficient amount to cover the TR 4) instruction from the RM for the payment or repricing to account for complete documentary requirements before encoding in the Loan system.
- Check and validate the monthly accruals generated by the Loan system to ensure completeness and accuracy.
- Monitor payment of maturities for the day by following up or advising the RMs concerned to ensure timely collection of principal and interest due.
- Perform monthly validation/inventory of documents of outstanding TRs against SL and GL balances to ensure completeness of documents on hand.
- Process TR rediscounting application with the BSP by: 1) identifying eligible TRs From the list of outstanding PHP and USD TRs, 2) Retrieve the identified TRs from the file and ensuring completeness of details as required by the BSP, 3) prior to application.
- Ensure that the BSP rediscounting system authorizers approve the TR rediscounting application before recording.
- Monitor and remit all principal and interest payments of all rediscounted TRs daily and encode the same in the BSP rediscounting system for proper reporting and recording.
- Generate a report of outstanding Rediscounted TRs from the BSP rediscounting system and compare them with the SL/GL balances to ensure completeness and accuracy.
- Generate daily, monthly, and quarterly reports from the Loan system to comply with internal and external regulations.
- Monitor and update the Fire insurance policy list and documentary deficiencies by regularly reviewing the Excel master file to ensure compliance.
- Perform other tasks assigned by supervising officer from time to time to comply with ad-hoc requirements.
- Accomplish and fill the TR agreements, bills of exchange, and disclosure statements by typing the required missing details to ensure proper recording.
- Scan and file transaction documents by using the defined scanner and file vault to ensure proper recording and safekeeping
- Encode the USD or PHP TR booking, payment, extension, and repricing in the Loan system by generating accounting entries and debit advice to record the booking and payment of principal, other charges, and interest due.
- Encode the identified eligible TRs for rediscounting in the BSP Rediscounting System to complete the application.
- Encode the approved TR rediscounting applications and collection of principal and interest payments in the Loan system to record and generate account entries properly.

- Bachelor’s Degree in Business Studies/Administration/Management, Commerce, Economics, Finance/Accountancy/Banking, Marketing
- With at least less than 1 year of experience
- Basic knowledge of banking/economics and accountancy
- Computer literate
- Attentive and keen to details; good oral and written communication skills
