The Role

MIS Support Team Leader effectively processes and analyzes data, anticipates requirements, uncovers areas for improvement, and implements solutions relative to underwriting processes. He/she is also responsible to effectively manage and assess data that has impact on various Underwriting processes. The MIS Support Team Leader also provides day-to-day support for immediate data requirements together with the MIS Officer.

How you’ll contribute

 Complaints Management / Issue Resolution

•    Comply with department and company policy, procedures, and code of conduct at all time.

Participation

•    Attend monthly performance review sessions with Underwriting Head to get and give feedback.
•    Participates in business process reviews to determine ways to improve current processes and develop optimization strategies based on data and/or underwriting performance reports.
•    May present underwriting MIS reports to different stakeholders.

Effective Communication Skills
•    Effectively communicate any data analysis or underwriting performance changes or updates relevant to stakeholders to ensure alignment within the organization.

Operations
•    Provide all underwriting performance reports within service level agreements (timely and accurately)
•    Monitor trends in underwriting performance and provide timely feedback about these trends to the Line Manager
•    Ensures data integrity and cleanliness in the database, system, and reports.
•    Prepares and creates reports ad-hoc analysis to better understand underwriting performance trend.
•    Monitor, review and report scorecards and incentive related data/activities in compliance with the current policies and procedures.
Perform requirements gathering and analysis by interacting with various stakeholders and subject matter experts to understand data issues.

What we’re looking for

• Bachelor’s/College Degree in Data Analytics, Computer Science/Information Technology, Business Studies/Administration/Management, Finance/Accountancy/Banking
• Graduate and at least 5 years and up relevant work experience in MIS and Data Analysis preferably in Banking/Finance Industry
• Knowledge on credit process & business analysis
• Critical thinking skills, results, and service oriented.
• Values integrity at work
• Able to communicate effectively within all levels of the organization
• Advanced proficiency in computer programs (EXCEL, WORD, POWERPOINT)
• Relevant work experience in database management and programming in SAS
• Proactive and flexible to changes
