The Role
As an Issuances Section Head, you will directly supervise the back-office operations for QIB registration and primary issuances for bank issuances and other corporate bond issuances. Also, you will ensure that all transactions are timely processed and settled with accuracy and in accordance with Bank’s policies, procedures, and regulatory bodies. Lastly, you will act as a signatory/alternate officer for other production units within Treasury Operations. Maintains an acceptable level of audit rating.
How you’ll contribute
- Reviews documents submitted for QIB registration / primary bond issuances to ensure compliance with regulations.
- Reviews accruals and amortizations for SBC LTNCDs for posting to Equation.
- Authorizes settlement instructions Inputted in the Guava system to generate correct settlement instructions and confirmations
- Checks and Authorizes settlement instructions via RTGS/Philpass Browser to accurately settle coupon/maturity proceeds from SBC LTNCD issuances.
- Monitors transactions processed by the unit to ensure that there are no float items / unrecorded transactions.
- Updates manual of procedures by accessing the existing manual to reflect new processes performed in the unit.
- Coaches the QIB / Issuances processor by providing training, guidance, and feedback regarding their functions/performance to empower them and to help them become more productive and efficient in performing their daily tasks
- Assess documents presented or submitted (hard/soft copy) to comply with regulatory requirements.
- Evaluates queries of traders/clients/account officers/branches over the phone / via email to ensure compliance with regulations.
What we’re looking for
- Must have a Bachelor’s or College degree in Business Studies/Administration/Management, Commerce, Finance/Accountancy/Banking
- At least 3 to 4 years of relevant work experience
- Knowledgeable in treasury products
- Must possess leadership skills
- With good analytical and technical skills
- Effective communication skills
- Keen on details, adaptable to changes, and has the ability to stay focused and respond in any given situation
