1. Why are you discontinuing the LoungeKey or Mastercard Airport Experiences (MCAE) program? ​

We are discontinuing the LoungeKey or Mastercard Airport Experiences (MCAE) program to transition to a better airport lounge benefit program for our cardholders.​

Starting December 29, 2023, Platinum and World cardholders will be able to access any of the 1,300+ lounges in airports worldwide through Mastercard Travel Pass.

2. What will happen to my unused lounge access?

All cardholders may use their LoungeKey and MCAE access until December 28, 2023, only. Any unused lounge access after the termination date will be forfeited.

3. What is Mastercard Travel Pass?​

Mastercard Travel Pass is a one stop premium airport service provider where members can enjoy airport lounge access and dining discount in participating outlets.​

4. Who is eligible for the complimentary lounge access?​

All Security Bank Platinum and World cardholders, whose cards are active and valid, are eligible to enjoy complimentary access to any of the 1,300+ lounges in airports worldwide through Mastercard Travel Pass.

​Note: The complimentary pass may be extended to the cardholder’s travel companion. Use of lounge pass is on a per person basis (one complimentary pass is equivalent to one person’s lounge entry).​

5. Will the unlimited access to the Marhaba Lounge NAIA Terminal 1 and Terminal 3 be affected of the changes in the Airport Lounge Access Benefit program?​

No, this is an additional travel perk you get to enjoy with your Platinum and World Mastercard. You will continue to enjoy unlimited access to the Marhaba Lounge NAIA Terminal 1 and Terminal 3.  Your card should be active and valid to access the lounge.​

​Note: Cardholder’s travel companion is subject to USD20 fee per person per visit.​

6. How is this different from the previous Airport Lounge Access Benefit? ​

With the previous Airport Lounge Access Benefit via LoungeKey or Mastercard Airport Experiences (MCAE), World and Platinum cardholders just need to present their credit card and boarding pass to access the participating airport lounges. ​

With the new program with Mastercard Travel Pass, you will need to create an account by registering your Platinum or World Mastercard at https://mastercardtravelpass.dragonpass.com/. Once successfully registered, you will be provided a digital membership for lounge access.​

Once you’ve used up your complimentary visits at participating Mastercard Travel Pass lounges, all excess visits will be charged to your Platinum or World Mastercard at USD32 per guest per visit.​

7. Is the Mastercard Travel Pass membership free of charge?

The membership is complimentary courtesy of Security Bank. Each Security Bank Primary and Supplementary Platinum Mastercard credit cardholder has 2 complimentary access per year while a World Mastercard credit cardholder has 6 complimentary access. The lounge access visit allocation will be refreshed on the 1st of January every year. Any unused visits will not be rolled over.

8. ​How do I register for a Mastercard Travel Pass account? ​

Simply visit https://mastercardtravelpass.dragonpass.com/, input your details, and receive an e-mail from Mastercard Travel Pass containing your ID and PIN once your credit card is successfully validated.

9. How do I download the Mastercard Travel Pass App? ​

You can download the Mastercard Travel Pass App by visiting https://mastercardtravelpass.dragonpass.com/ or via Play Store for Android or the App Store for iOS.​

10. Where can I use my complimentary lounge access?​

You can check the Mastercard Travel Pass App to check for participating lounges.​

11. How do I access the participating airport lounges?​

Starting December 29, 2023, you need to present your Travel e-Card (through the Mastercard Travel Pass app or through the website), Security Bank Platinum Mastercard or Security Bank World Mastercard, boarding pass, and your passport at the participating airport lounge.​

12. Can I access a lounge without registering on the app?

No. In order to access a lounge, you will need to create an account with the Mastercard Travel Pass. You need to show your digital membership upon accessing the lounge.

13. Can I bring a guest with me to the lounge?

Yes. Your complimentary pass may be extended to your travel companion. Use of lounge passes is on a per-person basis (one lounge pass is equivalent to one person’s lounge entry).

14. Will I be charged if I exceed my free access?

Yes, excess visits will be charged to the cardholder at USD32 per person per visit. All charges will be billed to your Security Bank Platinum or World Mastercard.

15. What are the other benefits of the Mastercard Travel Pass?

Aside from the lounge access benefits, the MTP program allows our cardholders to enjoy dining discounts at selected merchants within the airports.
