The culture of giving at Security Bank shone brightly during this year’s 75th Anniversary celebration. What seemed like a bustling marketplace filled with coffee, homemade delicacies, clothing, accessories, and other locally made products became much more than a shopping experience, it became an opportunity to help change a student’s future.
On June 20, 2026, Security Bank employees gathered at the SMX Convention Center Manila for the annual People’s Fair Marketplace, where employee-merchants showcased their small businesses in a celebration of entrepreneurship and generosity. Every participating merchant and every purchase by fellow employees helped support a greater cause, with participation fees donated to Security Bank Foundation, Inc. (SBFI) for its Regalo Mo, Kinabukasan Ko (RMKK) Scholarship Program, helping underprivileged yet deserving scholars pursue their education.
For many of the participating employees, the event was more than an opportunity to sell their products. It became a meaningful way to give back, transforming their passion projects into opportunities for deserving scholars to continue their education.
When we learned that the rental fees from the booths would go directly to the Security Bank Foundation’s initiatives, we felt even more encouraged to participate. It’s a great opportunity to sell while giving back” shared Kimberly Malka Soner, Relationship Manager of the Corporate Banking Group.
“The People’s Fair gave us the chance to showcase our products, connect with the Security Bank community, and at the same time support initiatives that help students achieve their educational goals,” shared Jose Gil Puey IV, an officer from the Information Technology Group.
For Jan Jethro Puzon, Relationship Manager from the Corporate Banking Group, joining the People’s Fair was a natural way to support both a cause he believes in and his wife’s home baking business.
“I have always believed in giving back—whether through my personal life, our church, or simply helping others when I can. Joining the People’s Fair was a chance to support a cause I care about while also cheering on my wife’s baking business. She is a real talent. I just happen to be her biggest fan.”
Now in its 16th year, the RMKK Scholarship Program continues to open doors for agency-hired personnel of Security Bank—including janitors, security guards, messengers, drivers, and other support staff—as well as their children. For Academic Year 2026–2027, the program supports 87 scholars, helping ease the financial burden of pursuing education while inspiring families to dream bigger.
Echoing the same spirit of giving, Tristan Joseph Legaspi, an officer from the Business Banking Segment, shared a message for the scholars: “Keep your persistence and drive for continuous education, and remain hopeful that your determination to finish your studies will eventually be rewarded.”
The People’s Fair has become more than an anniversary tradition. For the past three years, it has served as a collective expression of generosity from Security Bank employees, who choose to celebrate the Bank’s milestones by investing in the dreams of others. Alongside the Foundation’s annual Adopt a Scholar campaign, employees have consistently rallied together to help sustain the education of RMKK scholars.
The opportunity to make a difference extends beyond Security Bank employees. Everyone can become part of a scholar’s journey by supporting the RMKK Scholarship Program through the Adopt a Scholar campaign.
