Power generation with renewable energy (solar, wind, tidal, hydropower, geothermal)
RE value chain (RE equipment manufacturer, exporter/importer, supplier and/or installer)
Energy Efficiency (EE)
Acquisition, development, or production of technologies that reduces energy consumption of at least 20% relative to the baseline
EE value chain (EE equipment manufacturer, exporter/importer, distributor/wholesaler)
Green Building
Acquisition, development, or renovation of buildings with the following standards:
- LEED – Gold, Platinum
- EDGE – Certified, Advanced, Zero Carbon
- Other local, such as BERDE (4-star and above), and international equivalent
Clean Transportation
Acquisition, development, or manufacturing of electric vehicles, and urban and rural transportation systems that demonstrate a shift from a higher-carbon mode.
Climate Change Adaptation
Projects that improve Disaster Risk Reduction and Management (DRRM), resilience in ecological and biological systems against impacts of climate change.
Environmentally sustainable management of living natural resources and land use
Environmentally sustainable forestry, including afforestation or reforestation, and preservation or restoration of natural landscapes.
Climate smart agriculture that aim for at least 20% productivity improvement/yield increase, crop/food loss reduction, and animal protein improvement.
Pollution Prevention and Control
Reduction of air emissions, greenhouse gas control, soil remediation, and management
Circular economy adapted products, production technologies and processes, and/or certified eco-efficient products.
Social Projects
Access to essential services
Healthcare (hospitals and medical clinics in underserved communities, elderly care facilities and programs, specialized clinics and hospitals built due to lack of access to specialty, pharmaceutical companies’ facilities, technology, and equipment used to manufacture affordable/generic medicines)
Education (vocational training facilities, schools in underserved communities, schools catering to persons with special needs)
Affordable basic infrastructure
Construction, operation or upgrading of basic infrastructure, such as:
- Water supply and sanitation infrastructure
- Energy infrastructure (electrification facilities)
- Transport Infrastructure
- Telecommunication infrastructure
Affordable housing
Loans for the development, purchase, or renovation of “Socialized Housing” and “Economic Housing” as defined by the Department of Human Settlements and Urban Development (DHSUD) of the Philippines.
Employment generation
Loans to small and medium enterprises (SME) as defined by the BSP intended for employment generation.
Loans to MSME financing institutions, provided that the institution adheres to responsible and fair lending practices.
Socio-economic advancement and empowerment
Loans that promote social inclusion to low income, minorities, rural areas, disabilities, climate hazard risks, and high conflict areas.
Loans that promote women empowerment. These include easy access to financial services and livelihood programs for women.
Blue Projects
Fisheries, aquaculture, and seafood value chain
Sustainable production and waste management and reduction measures that meet, keep, or exceed Marine Stewardship Council certification or equivalent.
Ocean-friendly and water-friendly products
Production, packaging, and distribution of environmentally friendly products that avoid water or ocean pollution
Offshore renewable energy production
Offshore wind farms that do not harm marine ecosystems
Sustainable water and wastewater management
Sustainable infrastructure projects for clean water supply and water sanitation that results to at least 20% water savings relative to the baseline.
