The Role
As Merchant Support Officer, you will supervises all activities of Merchant Support Unit. Ensures the timely and accurate processing of merchant creation/maintenance and crediting of commission/sales proceeds. Coordinates with different units/departments on all items/ issues related to merchant transactions. Provides support to group projects and all operations-related matters.
How you’ll contribute
- Authorizes and ensures that the merchant set-up process, updating, and maintenance functions are all done and executed in the system to achieve the goal of the business.
- Authorizes payments to merchants and service providers via Digibanker.
- Communicate issues /exceptions to requesting units/departments through emails, over the phone, and meetings to ensure timely resolution of disbursement issues/concerns.
- Oversees the Merchant’s inquiries, requests, and complaints.
- Manages subordinates and company policies by enforcing policies with respect to work assignments, employee performance, training, promotions, attendance, discipline, and other personnel and administrative policies to ensure that the welfare of the bank, the department, and its people are secured.
- Assists the Merchant Support Unit Head by supporting through planning, organizing, and supervising the activities of the Unit/Department to support the Division in the achievement of its goals and set objectives.
- Perform other tasks essential to support the needs of the business.
What we’re looking for
- Bachelor’s degree in business, communications, marketing, or similar field
- Should have at least 5 years relevant experience in the Banking, Credit Card Companies, Leasing/ Financing Institutions
- Proficient with Microsoft Office applications
- Knowledgeable in Banking regulations, lending operations, and other Financing processes
- Must be strategic, analytical with strong leadership and project management skills
- Team Player who builds a positive relationship with the team
- Good verbal & written communication and presentation skills
