The Role
As an Account Officer, you will be responsible for the day-to-day management and administration of the investment funds of assigned institutional accounts. Contributes to the volume and revenue growth targets of assigned accounts through contributions made to and the trust fee earnings of assigned accounts, incremental business from existing accounts, and new accounts opened.
How you’ll contribute
- Services all requirements of accounts to include but not limited to servicing and funding withdrawals, queries related to investments and/or the account/covering trust agreement, and submits reports as may be requested by clients; also responsible for encoding all daily investment transactions in the Trust system
- Recommends investment opportunities to managed accounts based on research and inputs from the Investments team to optimize investment returns
- Arranges investment of funds and the disposition of investments on a timely basis based on the Investments Team’s strategic direction for fixed income and equity investments to achieve returns that are better than benchmarks
- Prepares and presents Fund Performance Review reports periodically (i.e. monthly, quarterly) and submits the same to clients within the agreed timeline
- Conducts joint calls or meetings with Sales and Marketing when necessary when presenting to potential clients to manage their excess funds or manage new Trust/IMA accounts
What we’re looking for
- Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics/Statistics, Business Studies/Administration/Management, Economics, Finance/Accountancy/Banking, or any related field
- At least 3 years experience in institutional trust product
- Proficient in financial and economic analysis
- Working proficiency in MS Excel/Powerpoint/Word and other proprietary software (i.e. Bloomberg)
- Can effectively liaise with internal and external stakeholders as part of the account management effort
- Effective presentation skills
