The Role
IT Vendor Relationship Manager supports the ITG in all duties related to vendor management review, onboarding, renewal, and other contract-related matters. Build lasting relationships with vendors that will help propel the most value from vendor engagements.
How you’ll contribute
Analytical and Critical Thinking
1. Handles email and call inquiries from the business and technology groups about vendors and their services.
2. Escalates to the IT head the concerns/issues encountered in the day-to-day operations that need to be addressed immediately and/or beyond his control.
Business Acumen
1. Keeps apprised of projects and initiatives involving IT vendors.
2. Perform as a functional bridge amongst external vendors as well as internal stakeholders.
Client Relationship Management
1. Assists in escalating issues to vendors for faster resolution.
2. Respond to inquiries/clarifications related to IT contracts.
Governance, Control, and Risk Management
1. Monitor contractual agreements for all IT function vendors periodically.
2. Facilitates vendor accreditation required documentation.
3. Facilitate and lead to track, measure, report, and evaluate Tier 1 Application vendor performance periodically coming from the inputs of the engaging units and vendors alike.
4. Helps to ensure vendor accreditation documents are submitted by vendors annually for SBF and BSP Compliance.
5. Coordinates and collaborates with General Services Division, Legal, Outsourcing Committee, TEEC, Risk, and Compliance.
6. Ensures all prerequisites before contract approval/sign-off are completed.
Information Technology Adeptness
1. Assists in drafting Request for Information (RFI) document to aid IT Group and Business to gain knowledge on a specific solution and/or service.
2. Assists in drafting Request for Proposal (RFP).
3. Assist in guiding IT Finance about the contract (e.g., the scope of services, terms).
Leadership/Management
1. Manage at least one Tier 1 Application vendor and platform owner.
Negotiation or Mediation Skills
1. Reviews and approves IT contracts being onboarded to SBF with the help of various units (SBC GSD, Legal, and others) of the Bank.
2. Helps in negotiating contracts in favor of SBF.
3. Collaborates with stakeholders to manage vendors upon early termination or cancellation as well as onboarding new vendors.
Planning and Organizing
1. Undertakes personal development or training as may be deemed necessary to meet the duties and responsibilities.
2. Help define the roles and responsibilities of the different groups involved in the vendor relationship management process.
3. Participate to formulate workflow processes, methods, and policies for applying vendors.
Process Improvement
1. Works closely with other IT Heads to ensure that vendor partners are managed effectively, and contracts are fully leveraged.
2. Review and evaluate Service Level Agreements (SLA) to identify areas for improvement.
Understanding and Application of Compliance and Regulatory Guidelines
1. Complies with and ensures adherence to company policies
2. Keeps the IT contract master list updated.
3. Ensures all IT Vendor documentation is updated.
4. Execute and implement Vendor Relationship Management strategy.
5. Maintains a summary of concerns/open items from the contract review of Legal/BU/IT Group and escalates to the concerned party for proper disposition.
6. Collaborates with different units of the Bank to formulate and improve workflow processes, methods, and policies for IT-related vendor engagements.

What we’re looking for
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science/Information Technology, Mathematics/Statistics, Business Studies/Administration/Management, Finance/Accountancy/Banking
- At least 5 to 10 years of relevant experience, preferably in Banking, Financial Technology/FinTech, Business Process Outsourcing (BPO)
- Certification in Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL)
- Knowledge in IT, sourcing, and contracts. Effective interviewing and negotiation skills. Able to communicate effectively with all levels of the organization and external parties.
