The Role

As a Test Quality Assurance (QA) Analyst, you will be responsible for supporting the implementation of Test QA standards and procedures as part of SBC’s Testing Center of Excellence. You will also help define the project test strategy and conduct testing on software, websites, and other technical products to identify and resolve bugs, defects, and other potential issues.

How you’ll contribute

• Supports the design and implementation of standardized QA policies and governance procedures
• Creates a thorough testing strategy at the beginning of each project that determines the overall trajectory of testing on the project.
• Liaises with business partners, systems analysts, and engineers to align on test quality objectives; Identifies procedures and scenarios for the quality control of products and services.
• Processes product reviews and informs the development team of defects and errors; Communicates quantitative and qualitative findings from test results to the engineering team to ensure all bugs and defects are well acted on and remediated.
• Supports a positive and collaborative digital delivery culture with a philosophy of continuous improvement, development, innovation, and excellence while remaining in compliance with the bank’s policies and procedures and upholding the highest standards of professional conduct.

What we’re looking for

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field
• Preferably with at least 2-5 years of experience in software testing or quality assurance
• Preferably with a Certification/Professional License:
  • International Software Testing Qualifications Board (ISTQB) certification
  • Certified Scrum Master (CSM) or Project Management Professional (PMP)
  • Six Sigma Green Belt
  • Certified Tester, Foundation Level (CTFL)
• Knowledge of software testing methodologies and tools
• Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies
• Familiarity with SQL and database testing
