The Role

As a Jr. Accounting Officer, you will prepare complex regulatory and other internal reports for use of the Management. This includes preparing reports specification and user testing of reports for automation. You are also in-charge of the user acceptance testing of assigned projects and maintaining some systems.

How you’ll contribute

• Prepares regulatory reports accurately and ensures that reportorial requirements are met at all times. Ensures that the bank’s policies and procedures are followed in the preparation of reports
• Prepares the reconciliation of handled accounts such as General Loan Loss Provision, Allowance for Probable Loss, and FX Position. Ensures that all float items are adjusted within the allowable number of float days, and long outstanding items are elevated to Senior/Junior Accounting Officer and BSP Reports Team Lead accordingly.
• Prepares adjustments and entries to be posted in FRP, FBEQ, and Oracle ERP
• Prepares process review and improvement through updating manuals and Service Level Agreement (SLA)
• Ensures that controls to mitigate risks are being observed in all work processes being performed by conducting annual assessments of risk

What we’re looking for

• Bachelor’s Degree in any Accountancy/ Finance or any related field
• Have at least 1-4 years of experience in finance reporting and automation of reports
• Knowledgeable of BSP Circulars/ Regulatory Reporting/ Business/ Accounting
• Proficient in MS Office Applications
• Project Management Skills
