The Role
As a Junior Accounting Officer, you will be responsible for temporarily filling-in vacancies in the Financial Accounting Department (FAD) – Subsidiaries and Affiliates Unit to ensure that operations are not affected by manpower movements.
How you’ll contribute
- Ensure the accuracy and timely submission of subsidiaries and affiliates’ financial statements both for internal and external users.
- Review/prepare regulatory reports (ie. SEC, BSP, BIR, AMLA) of Subsidiaries and affiliates and ensure compliance with related regulations and ensure timely submission.
- Handle assigned monthly financial statements and close process activities of the unit.
- Review/process disbursement vouchers and credit memos released by Subsidiaries/affiliates.
- Handles special projects (e.g. new systems, new accounting standards, new regulations, process improvements, etc.) by reference to project objectives or work programs requiring controllership expertise
- Handles/monitors/coordinates requirements from the unit by auditors like BSP, SGV, Internal audit, and other regulatory agencies, as applicable.
- Update/create/review key operating procedures, manuals, and service level agreements (SLAs) on a regular basis.
What we’re looking for
- Bachelor’s Degree in any related field
- Have at least 4 years of experience in Accounting/Audit/Tax Services, Banking, Leasing/ Financing Institutions
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) is required
- Knowledgeable in banking transactions, financial reporting standards, and regulations (SEC/BIR/SEC/PSE).
- With strong analytical and project management skills; effective oral and written communication skills; problem-solving skills.
- Able to lead a team to deliver required results; keen on details.
