The Role
As a Product Manager, you will be responsible for the end-to-end management of the product lifecycle of the Business Banking Segment (BBS) secured and unsecured loan product portfolio. These roles will handle the development of a new lending proposition, enhance/digitize existing loan offerings as well as carry product profit & loss (P&L) responsibilities (i.e., pricing and cost management). Additionally, each Lending Product Manager shall be involved in managing the whole credit cycle (i.e., from Planning, Acquiring, and Maintaining accounts to collections & write off activities) for BBS loans and ensure that the inception and execution of all BBS loan campaigns are fulfilled and will work closely with the BBS CVP Manager, BBS Campaign & Analytics Manager, Sales, and other functional teams to drive top-line growth.
How you’ll contribute
- Needs Identification & Value Proposition – enhance the lending value proposition for the Business Banking Segment. Developing features lists and user stories and gaining an understanding of users’ personas, pain points, and journeys.
- Product Lifecycle & Portfolio Management – Manage existing product suite, improve current features, and understand and optimize business drivers and outputs.
- Project Management – Work closely with technology partners to develop new products or enhancements from initiation to completion. Including the conduct of UAT and providing complete documentation of the project.
- Market Research – conduct a regular market scan to update product benchmarking. Spot new business trends and opportunities and cascade this information to the rest of the BBS organization.
- Governance Control and Risk Management – ensure products comply with local regulations, including all product documents, are complete and approved. Address risk and process issues and initiate change in credit policy as needed.
What we’re looking for
- Bachelor’s degree in Management, Finance, Economics, Marketing, Analytics, Credit Policy or Risk Management or any related course
- At least 5 years of experience in a retail or SME bank with a track record in product management, marketing, and/or retail credit risk (covering Secured and Unsecured Loan products as applicable)
- Must have a good grasp of local regulations regarding retail and small business financing. Project Management Skills
- Proficient in MS Tools (moderate to advanced MS Excel skills) and understands local market and competitor landscape of MSME loan products/propositions.
- Strong communication and presentation skills
