The Role
As a Test Non-Functional Engineer, you will be responsible for the non-functional test (i.e., performance, load, volume, stress, security, etc.,) of the software being developed and deployed to production. You will be involved in creating and executing high-quality, reliable, sustainable, and reusable performance test scripts. Some of the duties include understanding system architecture and workflows, mitigating risk, and preventing software performance issues.
How you’ll contribute
- Implement and execute various forms of non-functional tests (i.e., performance, load, volume, stress, security, etc.,) with the agreed scope and schedule.
- Measure, analyze and interpret non-functional test results.
- Ensure all test artifacts are well documented, maintained, and archived.
- Develops performance test script suite using JMeter or other equivalent performance testing tools in compliance with SBC defined standards and methodologies.
- Work with the application team to resolve any issues that arise out of the testing process.
- Propose improvements to existing non-functional test policies and procedures, test automation, and help with the implementation of improvements.
What we’re looking for
- Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology & Services, Banking, Financial Services, or related courses.
- With at least 1-4 years of experience
- Knowledge of the full spectrum of the non-functional test (i.e., performance, load, volume, stress, security, etc.,)
- Have excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively work with cross-functional teams.
- Attention to detail – have excellent attention to detail in identifying issues and bottlenecks
- Documentation skills – job relies on recording and reporting the problems found
- Problem-solving skills – to find solutions to the issues found
- Basic knowledge of core banking
- Experience in using JMeter and/or other performance testing tools
