The Role

As a Solutions Delivery Head, you will responsible for ensuring that the enterprise’s digital transformation solutions are optimal, given current and emerging digital realities, opportunities, and threats. Works as the strategic interface between ITD and internal stakeholders, for the purpose of business / IT strategy development, solution discovery, service management, risk management, financial management, and relationship management.

How you’ll contribute

• Together with the CIO, manages the group staffing,  including resource planning, professional development, appraisal, and disciplinary actions, to provide a resilient and responsive support team that delivers the specified service levels to the Bank’s users and the required skills for the technical support of the applications/solutions in use
• Leverages Enterprise solutions based on scan/knowledge of the Business requirements to ensure investment to a business solution/system is maximized/optimized
• Engages strategic discussion with the Business Segment Heads and Leaders via one-on-one engagement meetings and/or via the different ITD meetings (Steering Committee, IT Annual Planning) to ensure full alignment with Business Plan and overall Organization Goals/Targets.
• Participates  in the management of operational costs of the IT group, including the preparation, submission, and monitoring of operational budgets  that meet prevailing objectives and constraints
• Ensures availability of mission-critical applications and computers systems within agreed SLA, and performance of application systems within the point of view of customer i.e. availability, speed, accuracy, and security. Establishes, implements and monitors effectiveness of IT policies, procedures,  and ensures compliance with internal and external policies and regulations (e.g. data privacy and confidentiality, etc.)
• Undertakes personal development or training   as may be deemed necessary  to meet the duties and responsibilities of the post
• Develops, directs, coaches, mentors, and reinforces team members in line with the mission, vision, values, goals, and performance standards of formal and informal teams. 2. Fosters an environment of collaboration  in order to facilitate cooperation and results orientation
• Keeps abreast of developments in the IT industry, including current technologies and prices, trends, issues, and solutions,  in order to maintain a coherent and cost-effective IT strategy in the face of technological change
• Works closely with business stakeholders to ensure their current and future requirements are effectively translated into technologies, standards, and processes that will meet those requirements.
• Ensures  that the approved structure of the IT group and skillsets present within it, are in place  to meet the needs of the business and keep up with the pace of transformation
• Plans and organizes the project delivery schedules, dependencies,  allocation of resources, breakdown of project tasks,  based on approved project prioritization in order to meet commitments to the Business within time and budget. Participates actively in each Business Segments’ planning session by attending each Business Plan’s presentation, briefing, town hall, etc. to determine the best delivery of solution (buy or build) – and if buy – procure the best fit/right solution to the Bank that both addresses current and future requirements
• Manages the IT application development teams and ensures delivery of appropriate service, operations, support, and information to users, including the arrangement and ongoing management of service level agreements. Ensures  that IT delivers value to the business in a cost-effective manner and promotes continuous improvement through ongoing monitoring with the objective of improving service delivery, productivity, risk control, and cost management
• Together with the CIO, executes approved long and short-term plans of the IT group, taking into account the benefits, costs, implications for hardware, software, systems, staff, vendors, third-party service providers, and the impact on users.          Ensures appropriate design of applications and infrastructure  to support the business, taking into account prevailing best practices and technologies;  and ensures implementation within the agreed schedule
• Ensures that IT applications/ systems, infrastructure, and stores data are secure against internal and external threats.
• Ensures the implementation and testing of IT business continuity to support the Bank’s business continuity plans.
• Understanding and Application of Compliance and Regulatory Guidelines

What we’re looking for

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Engineering, Computer Science or any related field
• At least 10 yrs experience in Hardware, Network and Systems Administration, Database Administration from IT Consulting, Banking or Financial Industry
• Proven expertise in cloud implementation projects is an advantage
• Proven experience to deliver digital transformation solutions to implement/achieve the 3-Year Technology Roadmap.
• Capable of transitioning the team to Agile / DevOps practice to support the organization’s transformation journey
• Capable of influencing stakeholders/business partners on strategic solutions acquisition/development by providing clear input, arguments on what is best for the organization, including sharing of Gartner research materials.
• Very good communication skills in English both oral and written
• Very good presentation skills
• Very good people management skills
